Solo Art Exhibit
Free Humanity
No Gods No Masters
Sept 13-26
The new exhibition curated by CRG stands as a testament to the transformative power of art in preserving history while celebrating the cultural importance of Juneteenth.
Juneteenth is America’s true Independence Day. The United States of America celebrated its Independence Day on July 4th,1776 despite The Emancipation Proclamation only later being signed in 1863 abolishing slavery. But it wasn’t until June 19th, 1865— two years later— that Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce the end of slavery for all enslaved people. ’Juneteenth’ marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in all of the United States.
CRG incorporates themes of heritage and identity through new sculptures that celebrate African American cultures and traditions, presenting a more diverse perspective and artistic expression than in his previous works. The showcased works depict stories ranging from the school-to-prison pipeline to critiques of global imperialism, featuring historical figures like Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, and Muammar Gaddafi to contemporary icons like Serena Williams and Afeni Shakur. The Juneteenth exhibition boldly explores themes of struggle and progress while exuding a spirit of jubilation. It encapsulates the victories won while also serving as a poignant reminder that the fight for equality persists.
“The Juneteenth Exhibition” will be on view at CLLCTV from June 16-22, with an opening ceremony on June 19,2024.

Join us at "Reflecting Herstory: Women Artists in Focus" as we celebrate the resilience, creativity, and transformative power of women artists. Let
their stories and artistry serve as a catalyst for change, inviting us all to reflect on the profound impact of women in the world of art; more importantly ‘their’ art.
"Reflecting Herstory" invites viewers to engage with the artists' works on a deeper level, encouraging conversations about gender, identity, and the power of art as a means of self-expression and social commentary. By highlighting the often overlooked contributions of women artists, this exhibition seeks to challenge the status quo, inspire future generations, and foster a more inclusive and equitable art world.

A PROPHECY FULFILLED,
A PROMISE KEPT.
A prophecy fulfilled, A promise Kept (on view at CLLCTV NYC), is a new series by Corey Ramon Gibson that visualizes scenes of mutiny, solitude and power for Black people in the diaspora. CRG will showcase 10-12 paintings that are a contemporary envisioning and re-envisioning of the Black American experience through many periods of times. CRG's paintings are a radical act in that they directly connect to a spiritual place of African affirmation, confidence and beauty. This work is rooted in a decolonial praxis that guides the viewer toward the space of freedom, liberation, joy, and celebration.
Corey Ramon Gibson (b. 1992 Washington, D.C) is a self-taught fine artist who draws inspiration for his artistry from the richness of historic and modern Black quotidian life. His work has been shown in exhibitions in Soho and in Brooklyn at Showfields as well as Complexcon in Los Angelos. He has also been included in the historic Freedom House Museum in Alexandria, VA. This is his first solo showing.
RGLR PPL by Hi Post
Kelly is not only a partner in CLLCTV.NYC, but is also a creative in a few different lanes: design, hair and clothing. RGLR PPL is a collection of vintage pieces from the 80s/90s that celebrate those ‘regular people’ whose work, energy and participation in all things moving, are often overlooked. The subway would not run, the lawns would not be cut and the buns would not be baked, if it were not for the regular people; who make this whole machine of ours run. Keep in mind that this collection is a nod and responsible move toward sustainability and circular apparel.
CLLCTV.NYC is pleased to host our partner’s pop-up showing all 1 of 1 pieces of smartly embellished vintage gems. Once Hi Post has touched these pieces; they are anything but regular.
Entry has no cost, but limited capacity. RSVP at CLLCTV.NYC@GMAIL.COM

Looking Forward Through the Past:
A New JPO Experience in collaboration with CLLCTV NYC.
New York City - Looking Forward Through the Past is a journey through the nostalgic worlds and landscapes of John Paul O’Grodnick (JPO) - one with many dream inspired and supernatural infused experiences. JPO has created a film through his mind’s eye of his childhood and has transported that film to the canvas, uncovering memories lost due to trauma and everyday life distractions.
This exhibit will be JPO’s first solo show in five years, and will highlight new works illuminated with the bright colors and unique characters he is traditionally known and loved for. Through this journey, JPO has been exploring with fluorescent paints and dark light - a true sensory experience. The show will take place at CLLCTV NYC, 209 E 3rd Street, New York, NY 10009. In addition to the art, JPO has worked with Music Producer, Air For Effect, to create a soundtrack to fully immerse every attendee in the experience. AFE will also be performing a live DJ set opening Night.
